Does the moon symbolize the permanence of Thalassa? Well, just as Thalassa is displayed the same way in any browser from any device, the same moon is visible from different points of the Earth (although not much different).
Well, I think it is simpler: Thalassa itself is named after a moon, one of the Neptune's satellites. I'm not sure though as I'm not the author of the badges.
Yes. The idea was to show Thalassa (Neptune's moon) as a planet. Based on what I've read, it should be gray, which is how it's drawn on the badge. But besides color, there is not much data about how Thalassa looks like.

What can be said for sure is that Thalassa doesn't have spherical shape. But nevertheless, good job! :-)
